Following sell-out shows at the Crazy Coqs venue in London, concert artist and West End performer Emma Kershaw will be honouring ‘the voice of a generation’, Karen Carpenter, marking the 40th anniversary of her passing. Emma will be singing some of the Carpenters’ greatest hits but also other gems which have been newly arranged to bring a freshness to the melodies and lyrics. Come and listen to some classics like, Close to You, Yesterday Once More, We’ve Only Just Begun, Superstar and Rainy Days and Mondays. Emma will give the listener a glimpse into the life, career and sheer joy of music that the Carpenters and their collaborators gave us. Emma has also performed lead roles in musicals such as Les Miserables, Chess, Into the Woods, Cabaret, Guys and Dolls, Fame and West Side Story. She sings regularly with all the major orchestras throughout Britain and internationally in the most prestigious venues. She grew up listening to the music of the Carpenters who remain an important part of the soundtrack of her life. Don’t miss the chance to see this delightful experience.
